The landscape of youth travel baseball has had exponential growth in the last few decades, especially in Southern California. Players and families have countless options at their disposal to provide a player with a wide array of experiences. Excellence Youth Baseball Association (EYBA) was founded with a simple goal in mind: offer competitive youth baseball that balances training, winning and personal growth, while avoiding "burnout" and "toxic coaching". We believe baseball can help kids develop all the necessary skills and traits to be well-rounded individuals. With that said our core team operational & developmental philosophy are as follows:

• Teams typically play in a tournament every 5 to 7 weeks. EYBA makes all attempts to never to heavy load players with tournaments but more focuses on training and development, using tournaments as a measure of the success of development and on-going training. 
• Teams will be year round, but teams will have reduced schedules in June & December to accommodate for summer and holiday events that most families participate in. 
• Teams conduct open tryouts (if there is roster space) in April and August. Tryouts consist of a player evaluation and a parent interview. 
• Advance Skill Development, agility training & physical conditioning are paramount to "live game reps".
• Players Play. Parents cheer / support. Coaches coach. This paradigm maintains a positive culture and experience for all.
